The close river “Vara”, for the bravest, and as an alternative the sea are ideal for alle kinds of water sports like e.g. rafting, canoe, sport-fishing, canoing etc. From here you will immediately reach without any problems all charming villages of the “Cinque Terre” (Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso) which are located in a steep territory unique in the world which goes down the sea.
It would be a pity to forget about the other "pearls” of the east coast of the region Liguria like e.g.: Portovenere, Lerici, Tellaro, Fiascherino, S. Terenzo, Sarzana, the Park of Montemarcello Magra, La Spezia itself which is interesting also thanks to its 4 museums (museum of modern art, museum "del sigillo", naval museum and the art gallery “Lia”). Trekking fans can discover the territory by foot or mountain-bike along the various trails marked out by the C.A.I. Those trails will lead you to mountains' ridges which dominate the sea of the “5 Terre”. From here you can enjoy a breath-taking view which is worth to be impressed in photos.
